The Latvian National Museum of Natural History will host the annual pumpkin exhibition from 25th to 29th October. Along with pumpkins, various peppers will be exhibited.

Pumpkins and peppers are surprising in their different sizes, shapes, colours and flavours. The exhibition will showcase both well-known and popular pumpkin and pepper varieties, as well as some of the new varieties that are all grown by local collectors in their own gardens. Everyone will be able to find and buy the perfect seeds to suit their liking, and then next year, grow them in their own gardens. The seeds have been registered with the State Plant Protection Service of the Republic of Latvia.

The following members of the "Tomāts" gardening enthusiasts' club will take part in the exhibition: Elga Bražūne un Saiva Pekuse ("Neslinko" gardening), Valentīna Cuznetova, Sarma Žarčinska, Darja Jureviča, Ludmila Kodzasova un Maija Čerjaka. During the exhibition they will provide gardening advice about pumpkins and peppers.
