The exhibition is closed for reconstruction from August 19, 2024. The reconstructed exhibition will be open to public at the beginning of 2025. Thank you for your understanding!

This exhibition is a story of the ecological zones of the world’s oceans and seas and the animals that inhabit them: mammals, invertebrates, fish and birds. A closer look is given to the diversity and differences between the various sea ecosystems and the animals that live there.

An item of particular interest is the skeleton of the killer whale and the painting of the creature on the adjacent wall. Showcased are animals that live in the seas of the Southern Hemisphere and around Antarctica (whales, penguins, the wandering albatross), as well as coral species found in waters with a temperature above +20 ˚C.

The exhibition was created in 2003.

The exhibition was renewed in 2018.
