Gardening enthusiasts and lily admirers are invited to the annual lily exhibition at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History.

The exhibition of summer queens – lilies – has been hosted by the museum for more than 25 years, and is organized in cooperation with lily breeders’ society “Lilium Balticum”. 

Lilies are particularly favored by gardeners because of their diverse varieties. Wide selection of colors, scents, shapes and blooming period – one can have flowering lilies almost for the entire summer. Adding to that options of plant height lilies is a great material to play with for landscaping the garden. 

Several dozens of varieties will be showcased this year, mainly provided by the experienced and enthusiastic breeders of  “Lilium Balticum”. Alongside beloved varieties, in the exhibition new ones will be displayed for public for the first time. 


For epidemiologically safe visit please follow these rules:

  • visitors must wear a facemask,
  • a distance of 2 m from other visitors and staff must be kept,
  • follow the information in visual instructions and audio announcements, as well as instructions from the museum staff.

Maximum number of visitors 6. Number of visitors is regulated according to the situation.

Prior booking is not required.
