The lectures covers various systematic groups of fungi. Participants will learn about:
• fungi that aren’t even fungi;
• microscopic fungi such as molds, yeasts, and those that cause disease in plants and animals;
• macroscopic fungi, for example, puff-balls, shelf fungi, coral mushrooms, club fungi, various capped mushrooms, etc.
The lecture includes a computer presentation and a look at dried fungus specimens from the museum’s collection.
