From June 19 to 22, the exhibition "Peonies 2025" will take place at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History. Over 200 varieties will be showcased, and the exhibition is organized in cooperation with Elita Zvingule (the collection garden "Ķesterciema peonijas") and representatives of other peony gardens in Latvia.
In Latvia, peonies are an old and very popular flower culture. Since the 19th century, they can be found in almost every garden. If the weather conditions are favorable, peonies can grow and blossom for decades. Recently, people's interest in peonies continues to grow. It has always been one of the most anticipated summer flower exhibitions. This year it will feature more than 200 varieties of peonies.
The participants of the exhibition "Peonies 2025" are: collection garden "Ķesterciema peonijas" and Elita Zvingule, National Botanic Garden, "Silvijas peonijas" and Silvija Jaundžeikare, Vineta Briška-Kambala from Kocēni, Lidija Brice from Pelēči parish.
During the exhibition, it will be possible to be advised on peony varieties, cultivation and breeding as well as how to choose the best peonies for your garden.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, June 19, at 12:00
in the exhibition hall on the 2nd floor.
