Charity exhibition for Ieva Jaundāldere's support is open at the Latvian Museum of Natural History until July 19.

Ieva Jaundāldere is a young and gentle woman. Romantic vibes come naturally to her. Ieva's art pieces - illustrations, textiles and pottery are all about nature's elements, mainly birds, other animals and plants. Love towards birds is deeply rooted in her family history - Ieva's great great grandfather Kārlis Grigulis was well-known ornithologist and worked at the museum.

Unfortunately much of Ieva's time is spent fighting diagnosis Type 1 diabetes and managing financial resources for medication. Ieva must regularly monitor sugar levels in her blood by using Freestyle Libre 2 system and use medication.

Income from the charity exhibition "Flight" will be donated to Ieva. The exhibited art pieces are for sale as well as individual orders are possible. Small souvenirs with Ieva's works are for sale at the gift shop, and it is possible to make donations at the exhibition hall.

The permanent exhibition "Birds of Latvia" is open for visitors after reconstruction. Nearly 300 bird species of Latvia, both historical and more recently acquired specimen are showcased, including specimen collected by the above-mentioned Kārlis Grigulis. His great great granddaughter artist Ieva Jaundāldere helped to curate the exhibition.
