The exhibition “Life in the Seas“
The celebration of the 180th anniversary of the Latvian National Museum of Natural History starts with re-opening of the exhibition “Life in the Seas”. The exhibition showcases marine and coastal wildlife in different climate zones of the world. Represented species are arranged according to inhabited areas from north to south. The exhibition features a hall dedicated to the Baltic Sea, where main focus is on species found along Latvia's coastline: mammals, birds, fish, mollusks and other invertebrates. The reconstruction of the exhibition was funded by the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund.
