The Latvian National Museum of Natural History offers a new free guided tour to Ukrainian civilians in the exhibition "Life in the Seas". The tour is led by a guide from Ukraine - biologist Mykola Vasilenko. There are also other free tours available in Ukrainian language.

For more than a year and a half, the Latvian National Museum of Natural History has been inviting Ukrainian civilians to visit free tours led by Mykola Vasilenko, a biologist and ornithologist from Ukraine. Until the beginning of the war, Vasilenko lived in Ukraine and worked at the Zaporizhia National University for more than 30 years. When the war started, he was forced to move to Latvia. Since June 2022, Vasilenko has been working as a guide at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History. In the spring of 2023, his watercolor exhibition "Birds by my home" was on display at the museum.

Ukrainian civilians are invited to apply for the new free guided tour in the exposition "Life in the seas", as well as to participate in the free guided tours about the birds and animals of Latvia. After the tour, Ukrainian civilians have the opportunity to visit other exhibitions for free.
